Ladybug Piñata Tutorial

How to make a very easy pull string Ladybug piñata at home?

Why go a store and buy a pricy piñata, when you can make a very pretty easy to put together, piñata at home for your kid's birthday party, for under five dollars.
All you need is an empty cereal box, wool or strings, wrapping paper of the desired color, tissue papers or streamers, craft boards, goggly eyes, black chart paper, glue, scissors, exacto knife, pencil and cello tape.
Methord:
When opening the cereal box, from the side in normally opens, cut with a sharp knife at the entire perimeter, so as to ensure that the side opens completely.
Take the contents out and now wrap the empty box with red warping paper, all over leaving the open side unwrapped.
On the top of the box (the opposite side of the opening), make two holes and pass a strong ribbon or wool, from one hole to the other, and tie it tightly on top. This where the box will hang from with another string running through it.
On the open end do the same. The pull-strings will hang from here.
Now to make the ladybug toppers, cut two craft boards into large circles of exact size. (I used a small tub, you can use anything you can find, a round baking tray maybe).
I used a pencil to draw a circle on the craft board first and then cut it with an exacto knife.
Then wrapped both the circles with the same red wrapping paper.
Make frills on the streamers and glued it around the back of the red circles.
Cut two more smaller circles out of the black chat paper. Cut them into half and paste them on top of the circles to make the head. Stick the goggly eyes. With smaller circles, make the ladybug dots etc.
From here, you can use your imagination to decorate the Ladybug Piñata.

After the toppers are completely dry. Paste them to the wide sides of the Cereal box with double sided tapes.
Fill with whatever you fancy. Close the open flap with cellotapes. Don't fix it too tight. It should open when pulled hard. Tie two or more strings on the loop that is running from one hole to the other. Then put a bunch of dummy strings.
Voila! Ladybug Piñata Done!

Ladybugs

Ladybugs everywhere in my garden, make me feel I am not the only one here, working hard to keep the plants happy and well groomed.
They are my best friends in the garden, very quietly working along, close to me all day.
Ladybugs are good bugs, they help the garden grow.
They will bring you good luck, so always say "Hello!".

If I were tiny just like you
I'd creep among the flowers too!

Lovely little ladybug has landed here to stay,
To make my garden pretty and keep the weeds away.
